  • Yaar Muhammad’s case was received, he is wheel chair bound and in his last days of life, doctors have marked him incurable, we wanted to give his wife permanent solution so that after her husband she doesn’t have to beg for food. First we provide wheel chair and amount for medicines, now they are getting monthly rashion and 9000Rs cash from HunarGhar.
  • Arzu was divorced and taking care of her children on her own. She is an experienced midwife and nurse, but due to COVID pandemic she lost her job and home bound with her three kids, that is when we started helping her and start giving her 5000 a month which was not enough for her so with the help of our donor we gave her 33000Rs to start her own clinic.
  • Qurat ul ain is a patient of epilepsy, she heard about HunarGhar while going home in chinqchi rikshaw. She lives in AgraTaj . Her husband left her alone with three kids, she herself is 26 years old only. She is educated but because of her disease she cannot stay out of home for long. For her we are providing her rahsion and 14000 every month so that she can peacefully take care of her kids and live respectfully.
  • Sabiha’s husband died last year and she is left with 3 children. In presence of her husband, they were living better life but all of the sudden they were left with nothing, thankfully they live in their own house. Upon her request and after verification process we are giving her 15000 every month and a job in nearby center so that she can learn some skills too.
  • Fauzia is enrolled for few months until her husband finds another job, we are giving her 5000 every month and have helped her pay her elder’s son board examination fee. When she came she was vert stressed for her kids school fee.
  • 100 street kids including girls and boys have learnt to make recyclable material out of scrap.
  • Helping with wedding of girls. Till now we have helped 7 to 8 girls to get marry respectfully, we provide them with furniture, basic home utensils and food on the wedding day.
  • This center is the only place for those women and girls who have never stepped out of their homes but we are providing them this opportunity to come and learn skills in a very safe environment.
  • Basic literacy classes have empowered women to read and write basic signs, newspapers, operate mobile phones and make good use of it.
  • Most of the women who have done vocational courses are now living a very respectful life and helping their families financially by sitting at home.
  • Over the past two years we have collaborated with I am Karachi, Aurat Foundation, Homenet Pakistan, IAMKarachi, UNWomen,ConsulNet and other renowned organizations for small scale projects in Karachi.

Despite of all the challenges she decided to go against the odds and initiate the concept of Hunarghar to help the women suffering like her. She initiated it by selling all her belongings because this journey was not only to empower these women but herself too.
