Work Experience
- Maria has completed her high school from Bahria College Karsaz and then got selected in an year long exchange program to live and study in United States of America. Her role was to share Pakistan’s culture and promote peace, this motivates her to contribute in community services as volunteer.
- She is now working as one of the US alumni in Pakistan, leading Ramadan rashion drives, awareness and environmental clean up drives, participating in recreational activities.
- She has worked as trainer and mentoring officer in several civic and civil education trainings where she has trained youth to design their own social action projects and campaigns. She has trained more than 400 youth so far.
- In 2019 she was selected to go to USA on a scholarship program name as KARAMAH to develop better understanding as Muslim woman leader and understand the Islamic laws.
- In 2020 she went to Egypt to learn about incubation and entrepreneurship through one of the program lead by UNICEF later she worked as project coordinator to mentor start ups for youth in Pakistan.
- In 2022 she was selected out of 35 countries and 500 applications to attend Civic education workshop lead by American council, she was selected as a mentor for 75 exchange students from 35 different countries. During the program she met 10 American senators and state representatives where she made elevator pitch about herself and her non profit initiative.
- She is also serving as psychotherapist and contributing herself in promoting mental health awareness.
